Rubber diaphragm are used in vertical filter presses, with two sides being the filtrate surface and the extrusion surface. The filter cloth in contact with the filtrate surface of the diaphragm is supported by a grid plate. During use, the solid-liquid mixture is injected into the filter liquid surface through the diaphragm inlet, and then water is drawn and pressurized onto the diaphragm extrusion surface. Under this pressure, the liquid on the filtrate surface flows out through the filter cloth through the grid, leaving the solid residue on the filter cloth. Through the repeated squeezing of the diaphragm and the repeated feeding and discharging actions of the equipment, the purpose of solid-liquid separation is achieved.
Rubber diaphragm's material can be selected from SBR or EPDM, according to different working environment.
