Inflatable and Water Filled Dam
Rubber dam is a compound of high molecular material and is a new kind of hydraulic structure , adopting high - strength synthetic fabrics as framework , which, together with anti - corrosive and weather resisting rubber, is sulphurised at high temperature to make dam fabric.
The dam fabric will be anchored on base plate to form blocking. Bag - type retaining dam is thus formed by charging water or air into it. In dry season, rubber dam can be used for blocking water to meet requirements of manufacturing and farming industries as well as domestic water. When it is not necessary to block water, discharge the water or air in dam bag so that it can recover the original flow cross - section of a river or trench.
Rubber dam can effectively prevent water and soil loss and ground water level declining, applicable for flood control, irrigation, power generation, water supply, shipping, tide blocking, urban garden beautification, and temporary water - retaining project for moving cofferdam and canal system, etc.

Features of inflatable and water filled dams
When overflowing at dam crest, water filled rubber dam has more stable bag shape and an even water flow, with less outwash to lower reaches of a river.When overflowing happens to the inflatable rubber dam, notch phenomenon occurs, with flow concentration and stronger outwash to river course of the lower reaches.
In a frozen area, the medium of inflatable rubber dam is not frozen, while water filled rubber dam doesn't have this advantage.
Inflatable rubber dam requires higher air tightness, while water filled rubber dam requires comparatively lower air tightness.
Compared with water filled rubber dam project, a project for inflatable rubber dam has a less investment.
