The pneumatic shield dam is also known as pneumatically operated spillway gate which is a new hydraulic structure with rubber bladder and steel shield as one. It consists of a group of steel shield plates, a group of airbags, one or two rows of anchor bolts and a set of pneumatic filling and draining system. The pneumatically operated spillway gate is made up of air-free medium. Also, the pneumatically operated spillway gate system has a wide range of applications. It can be used in any environment river without any regulation. It can be widely used in river regulation and urban landscape, farmland irrigation, drought control and waterlogging drainage, seawall construction (prevention of seawater encroachment).
