Spillway steel gates are newly designed water control system. It is mainly constructed with air bladder(made of rubber with strengthening fabrics) and steel gates. Air bladder can be filled by compressed air, then it can support the steel gates in different angles to get different heights. When air is deflated, the steel gates can fall down the to floor(riverbed level), then water can go to downstream.
In some wet cities, spillway steel gates are applied to block flood from going to roads and houses. The site in photo is one of such projects we have done in China. It is easy to maintain, beautiful and cost-saving.
