Air bladder is also called rubber dam bag. It is main part of pneumatic spillway gate. It is filled by compressed air when operating. The bladder body is made of EPDM rubber and strong enough carcass inside. Tensile strength can be variable according to different requirements of customers and conditions.
Working pressure of air bladder: 0.07-0.20Mpa. Designed working pressure is 1.0Mpa. Designed safety factor 8-10times. Outer layer rubber material: EPDM. Designed service life is 30 years.
The rubber body is designed for maximum protection against waterborne debris such as rocks, trees, suspended sediments and other natural and man-made objects normally present in the river or carried by the river in flood at the location of the pneumatic spillway gate.
All components or accessories to be fitted inside the rubber body(air bladder) shall be rounded or smooth with no sharp edges.
