Not long ago, the oil palm variety "Hot Oil No. 4" selected by the Rubber Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "Rubber Institute of the Academy of Thermal Sciences") was formally approved by the National Tropical Crop Variety Approval Committee, and became the first oil palm fine variety that can be widely planted and popularized in China. At the same time, "Hot Oil 40", a lightly simplified shell-less variety suitable for small-scale farmers in China, has also been successfully planted in the region. The breakthrough in self-breeding of zero varieties laid a solid foundation for the industrialization of oil palm in China in the short term.
